When people look at Lady Hero Batten they see a perfect lady. She also happens to be engaged to the Marquis of Mandeville who also happens to be perfect.
Griffin Remmington, Lord Reading, is known for his hedonistic ways and is nothing like his perfect brother. When he spots Hero, he finds himself enthralled with the lady especially since he sees past her perfect façade.
There is something about Griffin that has Hero acting against her perfect nature. While she is terrified to be seen as anything but faultless, the heated debates that take place with her soon to be brother-in-law has the passion rising between them and burning uncontrollably. Will Griffin stand by and watch the woman he has come to love marry his brother? Can Hero finally see past her own façade and realize that while she is not perfect, the sexy rake makes her feel more complete than anyone else has, including her fiancé?
The danger, passion, adventure, and heated foreplay that is bound into this book make Notorious Pleasures a novel that you do not want to miss reading. The characters are described with such vivid detail and clarity that it seems as if Ms. Hoyt has brought them to life before your eyes. I love how Hero is the exact opposite of Griffin’s character which makes the sexual tension so overwhelming that you can practically feel each and every sensual word and touch that is passed between them. Then you have the added danger which turns this historical romance into a suspenseful novel. I cannot wait to see who is up next in the Maiden Lane Series.
