Elizabeth Cameron is the best restorative cosmetic surgeon in the country. The CIA recruited her for her skills to help relocate and protect agents. She sees this as her duty to her country and refuses to be paid for it. Elizabeth has been completely dedicated to her work and her patients at the expense of her personal life. She realized this and plans to change after the death of her lover, David.
Elizabeth is finally going to take a vacation, which the hospital staff is in total shock over. As she is leaving the hospital to start her vacation, she finds her CIA hander along with another agent at her car. Elizabeth reluctantly agrees to meet with the Director Calder. Elizabeth is requested to do the hardest job of her life. Transform the face of Joe Hennessey to David Maddox then to teach Joe David’s mannerisms. Joe convinces her to do this. Joe feels the electric energy that flows between him and Elizabeth but he is determined not to let personnel issues stand between him and the mission. Elizabeth feels the pull of Joe’s magnetism and recognizes it as attraction to dangerous men. She refuses go though another David. Elizabeth finally agrees to transform that will take three weeks to turn Joe into David. After secrets and truths are unveiled, the enemy will strike with precision and ruthlessness. Luck, determination and skill just might keep Joe and Elizabeth alive.
Person Of Interest is an amazingly well written story by Ms. Webb. The characters are well rounded and believable. Joe realizes that Elizabeth is the one woman for him but knows that his life style will come between them in the end. Joe is a man that is dangerous and confidant in his abilities making him sexy and appealing to women. Elizabeth's ability to recreate a face that was destroyed is amazing and she builds respect with the reader, as she does not show an over inflated ego. She is able to be cool under fire with her career showing how emotionally strong she can be but she also uses this to hide her feelings from others. Ms. Webb has created the perfect suspenseful plot giving readers the right red herring to leads the reader to the surprise conclusion. I would highly recommend this to anyone that likes intrigue and endearing characters.
