Police work is Taylor’s life, but lately she has been wondering if it is enough. Her attraction to Nick comes at bad time he is connected to a murder investigation. Although her instinct tells her he is not involved she follows procedures to catch the real murderer. Will her feeling for Nick destroy the case?

Nick has been involved in a murder by association. He knew the victim and was the last one to have seen her live. If that didn’t complicate his life, he has finally met a woman who appeals to him on all levels. Now he has to convince Taylor that they are meant for more then the duration of the case.

Assigned to discover who murdered Cindy Cattel, Taylor is drawn into the world of politics and real estate developments. As questions are asked, names are dropped, some with influential ties to the Sheriff’s office. When her investigation brings her to Nick Carrera’s door, she is surprised by their mutual attraction; something that she will not allow to jeopardize her case. With the addition of more suspects, clues and another murder, her relationships on the force and with Nick are put into question. Can she find the murderer before he strikes again and just who is his next target?

Ms. Cambria has penned an exciting page turning police drama set in Palm Beach, Florida. Taylor and Nick are well-rounded characters, with well-balanced strengths and weaknesses that add to their appeal. The situation and conflict developed nicely through the book pulling the reader in at the very first page. The dialogue was crisp. The sexual tension and romance flowed smoothly within the structure of mystery adding an equilibrium that creates a truly satisfying read.
