Because, not only is Thorne now working in her seat, but he is also the man Maya never will forget.
Thorne Coleridge needed a change so when told he is needed for this certain case about Master Mind, it sounded okay. Then Thorne learns he is the one to replace Maya Cooper, the woman that finally got to Thorne. However, Thorne cannot let Maya get to him, this time, when it obvious that she has forgotten their night together. But as much as Thorne would like to forget himself, Maya has a place in his heart and there is no getting over it.
When Thorne asks Maya to help him with this investigation, he listens to her reasons about Henke’s, and it seems the more they delve into things the more it made no sense. But Maya and Thorne becomes a target of this Master Mind, and had both gone back through evidence to find out who it could be. All the running and chasing of clues is exactly what the Master Mind wants. Can Thorne and Maya find out exactly who Master Mind is, before any more lives are taken, even their own?
Rapid Fire is a thrilling ride of suspense that will leave you breathless. Exceptionally written, you are riveted from page one. You are carried away on a series of twists and turns and spine tingling action going at the speed of a roller coaster. Excellent characters with important secondary characters carry the story line, with intense dialogue and intrigue. Sensual love scenes bind this story together to make an astounding read. This is the third and final in the trilogy, but after reading about the wonderful characters in the Bear Creek Lab, you will want to read the others as I did.
