Book 3 in The Blades of the Rose
Mass Market Paperback

Astrid is hiding in the wilderness of the Northwest Territory. The death of her husband Michael devastated her and she no longer wants any part of the Blades. She might not have a choice.
Nathan is a Native who was taken from his family at the age of eight and taught the ways of the white man. Now an attorney, he still does not feel like he belongs anywhere, but little does he know how different he actually is.
The Heirs of Albion are relentless in their search for magical power. They are in Canada to steal the magic of the legendary Earth Spirits. Nathan is in the area on a case for his firm and is fascinated by the fiercely independent Astrid. Nathan is attacked and the circumstances make him want to find his roots. Astrid is the only one who can help him and keep him from the Heirs.
The author does a great job of combining the magical lore of both the old and the new world into a truly inventive plot. I loved Astrid and Nathan. Nathan’s true nature and his heritage are fascinating and the tension and suspense created by their pursuit by the Heirs kept me at the edge of my seat. The other Blades were very intriguing and I look forward to reading more about them. The author has a knack for combining suspense and a great romance with a riveting paranormal story.
