Sonnet Romano’s has a great job, the perfect boyfriend and an incredible career. Zach Alger cannot get Sonnet Romano out of his head. One night with her and he knows instinctively that they will never be able to return to being just friends. He tries to focus on his work as a filmmaker and move on, as she has obviously done. Not only is her perfect life a chimera, the real passion she has been lacking all her life is right there, waiting for her.
Ms. Wiggs paints a vivid picture of Willow Lake, with vibrant characters that are in danger of stepping right off the page. She takes readers deep into the sweet romance of Zach and Sonnet’s friends as lovers story. Simultaneously, she provides a glimpse of the staying power of true love between Sonnet’s mother and stepfather, as they deal with the reality of breast cancer. This is a book that will draw readers deep into the lives of all the residents of Willow Lake to give them a sense of homecoming.
