Jake Johnsrud is an account manager at a family-owned marketing firm in Chicago, his clients range from manufacturers of food and other items used in the home. His life is about to change.
Annie Peterson is an administrative assistant with a major accounting company, married to Paul who works as a construction foreman. Paul no longer serves in the Army but feels obliged to protect and uphold the Constitution rights. Annie and Paul leave for Washington to protest the rally taking their son with them.
Crystal Compton has a degree in Zoology and protests Freezeland’s ecological policies. She finds herself a prisoner.
Annie was spared in the fighting but not Paul. She holds to her year-old son, Bobby but the soldiers pry him from her arms. Amidst other prisoners, she finds herself transported and ready to be sold into slavery. She and some others will be escorted to the Moon where they will develop a whole new way of life. The women learn they will be doxies servicing the men. Jake and two others will accompany the women on the flight where they will mine rock. Jake soon has feelings for Annie but the turbulent conditions make her wonder can she commit to him. Now they must learn to survive if they wish to live.
Rock Bound allows all of Annie’s emotions and inflicting pain and loss come to life through the pages. When she begins to hold feelings for Jake while still harboring moments concerning Paul, the scene is riveting. Ms. Weber instills a serial that leaves the reader breathless with on the edge of your seat entertainment with an endless list of characters. I can hardly wait to read more about these very interesting characters in this great tale. This is a very tightly written story.
