SISTERS IN ARMS
Rating: 3 Cups
Riley is on a family mission to acquire an expensive necklace by any means necessary. During the commission of the crime, she passes out and wakes up in an alternate universe.
Maka is a creature of a feline descent. He had great feelings for Riley but escaped the mercenary camp when he could, leaving Riley behind. Now that they have both escaped and meet again, he knows he just might have found his future.
Riley meets up with her college roommate in this alternate universe, which surely could be no coincidence. On a mission to rid the world of an evil enemy, Riley is about to find out that she is on a headlong collision with her destiny.
Sisters in Arms is an interesting story line but the story lacks pieces that would bring it all together. In the beginning of the story, we find ourselves in the present as we know it, and then we find ourselves in what appears to be an alternate universe. It was rather confusing at first, but once explanations came, I began to catch up although I still felt I must have missed something. I love the relationship between Riley and Maka and how the author wrote the hero with very real flaws. All in all I found the story interesting and quite an adventure.
