Tess Marshall is Personal Assistant to a very spoiled actor. She is very tired of being taken for granted by Trevor Ryan. Two years is long enough to be at his beck and call without any sign of real gratitude. After telling him off and quitting, she heads out to spend some time alone before looking for another position.

Trevor Ryan does not realize just what has been right under his nose until Tess is gone. He misses her greatly and wants her back. However, he realizes now that he wants more than just her organizational expertise. His attraction for her has made itself known and he is determined to see where a relationship between them could lead.

Tess is tired of catering to Trevor's every need while he totally ignores her. Leaving is the best thing she can think of to do at the time. She does not expect him to follow her to Lake Cushman and try to convince her to come back as more than his assistant. Can they resolve their differences and find an everlasting love?

Ms. Dane is one of my favorite authors and this terrific story is another example of why I enjoy her work so much. The characters are fascinating and easily believable. I like a good strong heroine and Tess is definitely that. I recommend Sudden Desire to anyone who likes a good solid story with plenty of smoking hot sex.
