Quincy is a world class surfing champion from Miami. She is blonde, athletic, and beautiful. She is very loyal to her friends, sometimes to her detriment, and does everything with her whole heart.
Finn is an agent with the ATF. He has a skewed perception of women due to his mother’s loose behavior. He is handsome, muscular, opinionated and a bit arrogant. He is also prone to jumping to conclusions where Quincy is concerned.
Quincy has finally put her life back together after being dumped by the love of her life. She is engaged to a handsome and wealthy man and her surfing career is in high gear. Then Finn walks back into her life claiming that her fiancé is an arms dealer. She does not believe him until she ends up in an Indonesian prison, but she is determined to get her revenge, even if she is not sure whether she can trust Finn with her heart again.
Quincy’s story had me hooked from the very first page. Making the heroine a champion surfer really gave this story a unique spin. Quincy is an interesting, attractive and strong character who has more than her share of troubles and has more to come. Finn is less likable at first. He is a bit too arrogant, and I really liked how Avery defended Quincy from him, she is a great best friend. The settings vary and really enhance each part of the story. The author’s skill at describing scenes and people is really extraordinary. The scenes in Bali will have you at the edge of your seat, and they are nothing in comparison to the suspense in London. This story is definitely much more than a surfer’s travelogue with a story, and I loved it.
