SUZIEN’S SECOND LOVE

Rating: 4 Cups
Suzien Madden has known true love and tragedy, but now finally has a happy life. If, at the end of the day, she is a little bit lonely that is no one’s problem but her own. She will just work harder at her franchise real estate business and keeping her fourteen-year-old son, Rocky, on the up and up. She in no way expects to be smacked upside the head by an attraction to a drop dead gorgeous man eleven years her junior.
Giovanni “John” Cremona finally has exactly what he wants—a new business that he loves and a naive, adventurous lover he wants to spend all his time with. The only problems are that she is obsessed with their age difference and a long ago love is spreading rumors around town.
Suzien Madden never expected to find anyone after the love of her life dies in a plane crash, leaving her pregnant and dependent on their parents. When her unexpected reaction to John throws her into a hot new relationship, the only thing standing in the way of happiness is John’s slightly crazed old flame. Can an age obsessed lonesome businesswoman trust enough to give love a chance?
I have to say John Cremona is one of the best male characters I have read about in a while. His sheer stubbornness in the face of Suzien’s age obsession won me over. I love his distractive and persevering mentality. Patrizia Murray gives a wonderful showing of overcoming obstacles, both physical and mental. The only slight irritation I have is that Suzien’s age obsession being restated over and over again in almost every internal conversation. I was tired of hearing it after so many times. I got the picture right off the bat.
