Kate Collier has loved two men for the longest time. However, her deceased husband left her in dire financial straits and she has had to take more than one protector in order to survive. The last nobleman she was mistress to abused her horribly, and she has not yet recovered from the rape she suffered in his hands.

Jason Randal and Antony Richards are best friends. They have been through a lot together, especially during their military service, and are almost inseparable. The one thing they want most is to share Kate as their wife. When they discover what she has been through in their absence, they are devastated.

During the Regency period, the lives of women were much tougher than it is today. Kate attempts to run a dress shop to support herself and her niece, but it is not easy in this era. She loves Jason and Tony, but her past experiences make it harder for her to trust men. Can they put her reservations to rest and form a lasting bond among the three of them?

I love a good ménage á trois story. This one is better than good. The fact that the two men also love each other really grabbed my attention and held on tight. This is the first novel I have read by Ms. Kane, but I hope it will not be the last. If she has more books planned to go along with this one I will be thrilled. Many of the supporting characters left me with a desire to hear their stories as well. If you enjoy tantalizing tales of multiple partner relationships that are set in the Regency period, then this is the book for you!
