Evie is tall, red haired and voluptuous. She was recently jilted by a man she has known her whole life. He took most of their shared savings as well. All she has in the world is her elderly grandfather.

Rio is an extraordinarily successful businessman who owns a chain of hotels. He is handsome and dynamic but hates Christmas and all of its trappings.

Evie finds herself broke and homeless shortly before Christmas. Her boss allows her to stay in the penthouse suite in the hotel that employs her as a maid. Rio is keeping a low profile to successfully conclude the most important business deal of his life. Finding a naked woman in his bed and a photographer in the penthouse could ruin all of his plans. He needs a wholesome fiancée, and Evie needs a place to stay.

This is a fast-moving and enjoyable holiday romance. Rio is a bit hard to like at first and Evie very naïve, but both have many appealing points that make them perfect for each other. Rio’s sad past explains a lot about his character and does much to excuse his behavior. Evie has a lot of spunk and in the end is well able to stand up for herself. Cinderella stories are perfect for the holidays, and Ms. Morgan has written one that you will be sure to enjoy.
