Ashley Benson is known as Ash. Her parents were different, in fact they were vampires. She is considered royal blood within her kind, and upon finding Julian, her life is about to change.

Julian Deveraux has hunted and killed even girls the age of Ashley. He does not know if he will be able to always control his nature around Ashley but will try his best, especially when he discovers his feelings for her growing.

Ash is happy to be living by the beach but more thrilled after meeting Julian, unaware of the big change soon to develop in her life. If she ever needs him for anything, he informs her to just whisper his name and he will be there instantly. She does not believe he is the monster that some make him out to be. The closer they become, the more she is interested in his biological parents. He fills her in on so much, stressing that things will come to her in due time. Ash wishes more with Julian but wonders will he be able to be the one who carries her heart. Julian is aware of the developments in Ash’s life but will he be competent to make the prophecy become real?

I found the Vampire Legacy a delightful story as the players find themselves circled among a bundle of developments along the way. With some fascinating players, plenty of action, and a little intrigue, Dawn Gray spins a page turning story that keeps the reader interested. I found Ashley to be a feisty heroine who does not hesitant to plunge into discovering anything around her life. There is a great deal of in-depth emotions that slowly begin to form among the players, allowing the reader to share in the happenings. This is a nice story I found entertaining.
