THREE NIGHTS WITH A SCOUNDREL
Book 3 of the Stud Club Trilogy
Ballantine Books, an imprint of Random House Inc.
Rating: 4 Cups
Lily Chatwick felt like she lost a part of herself when her twin brother was murdered. It is hard to be alone in a society as a single woman, but with her hearing impairment she struggles daily to fit in with her peers.
Julian Bellamy was Leo’s best friend and when he is killed, he makes it his duty to see that Lily will want for nothing. He begins to scheme to see her settled and married before the next heir claims the house and leaves Lily homeless.
Lily is having none of Julian’s honorable intentions; instead setting her sights on the man himself. She has loved the sexy man for as long as she can remember and she will stop at nothing to claim him as her own. But Julian has secrets, one that could put Lily and anyone around him in danger and he continues to struggle against his passion, attraction, and love for the woman. In the end all will be revealed and the growing danger will come to a head, leaving Lily with the decision of whether she should risk her heart on a man known for his many conquests.
Ms. Dare writes such lovely romances; you can just feel the emotions and conflicts pouring from the pages. Three Nights with a Scoundrel takes the reader on a journey full of danger, passion, love, emotional battles, and secrets that have destroyed lives. Even though this is part of a trilogy, it can be read as a standalone. I do hope there will be stories about a certain ward and a certain spy in the future as they are characters that bring boldness to this tale. You will not be disappointed with this novel, and it will leave you wanting to read more from this author.
