Molly Graham is a grants writer and fairly new resident of Blackpool. She has made a few good friends, but the most important person in her life is her husband, Michael.
Michael Graham is a very successful and very attractive computer genius and is married to Molly.
Molly and Michael Graham enjoy life in Blackpool though they are not popular with all of the residents. Their talent for solving crimes irks certain members of local law enforcement. One of their good friends is Dylan, a local businessman, whose marriage is on shaky ground. When his wife’s “friend”, troublemaker and alleged drug dealer Willie Myners, is found stabbed on a boat, Dylan is the main suspect. Molly and Michael are determined to help their friend, but there is more to the case than just Willie’s attack. Ghost and pirate treasure complicate the investigation.
Molly and Michael are an interesting couple, and their investigation kept me turning pages until the end. I loved the setting and its pirate history and the way the past and present intertwine. Blackpool is an interesting setting and the residents are vividly depicted and typical of a tourist town where locals and holiday makers rarely mix. Michael and Molly are newcomers and caught somewhere in between, which helps and hinders their investigation by turns making for a mystery that is difficult to put down for even a minute.
