VOICE OF ABANDON, OR THE PRINCESS AND THE VIOLINIST
Sweet Contemporary Romance
Rating: 4 Cups
Julianna DeWinters loves her husband and misses him terribly. At the young age of thirty-five he died from a heart attack and she is not sure how she can survive without him.
Andrew Graham knows what it is like to lose someone you love. He expresses his anguish, love lost, and memories in the concerts he performs.
When Julianna first hears Andrew play, it is like something has awoken inside of her. Andrew spots the beautiful princess right away and cannot keep his thoughts from her. After speaking for only a few minutes, both know there is something special about each other. Can Julianna let go of her past to see that Andrew is her future or will she say good-bye to her second chance at love?
While I cannot imagine what it is like to lose the love of your life, Ms. Lori has written such a beautiful and soulful tale to the point that the reader understands the anguish and pain. I thought the way the music was used in comparison to how the emotions were increasing between the loss of Julianna’s husband and the love that is building between her and Andrew was described brilliantly. The poignant breakthrough scene that Julianna has brought a very realistic feeling to the storyline. This is a novel that will surely touch your heart.
