WANTED: UNDEAD OR ALIVE Phineas McKinney had a tough life growing up. But living on the deadly streets of New York City is nothing compared to being one of the undead and trying to save mankind from the evil vampires, the Malcontents. Brynley Jones lived in a world where the Alpha’s word was law, until she finally got out from under her father’s domineering paw. Just because she does not have a current pack to call home does not mean she wants to thwart her previous pack by siding with the vampires. Somehow, Phin became a sex symbol for the DVN; the Digital Vampire Network. He wants everyone to see him as more than just a sexy voice and fabulous body. Brynley knows all about seeing only the surface as the werewolf community continuously tried to use her princess title to further their own status in the pack community. But Brynley hates vampires, right? So what is it about this particular undead that has her wolf wanting to come out and show Phin that once you go pack, you never go back? Picking up a novel by Ms. Sparks insures the reader will find a unique read that will keep them laughing and wanting more. While Wanted: Undead or Alive did have some of the author’s comedic moments, there were not as many elements of humor that are usually within the pages of her books. I found the characters had some amazingly powerful features, such as the way their pasts were quite similar in some things. I also liked how I got to see more than just a vampire world as I experienced this paranormal universe full of bears, wolves, and cats as well. It will be interesting to see where the author takes us from here. Danielle
