Jesse Winters has created a chain of stores that sell coffee and T-shirts. His stores are an unmitigated success and he leaves for Europe to expand his business. While there, he suffers a devastatingly tragic accident that changes his life forever. Upon finally returning to his home in Connecticut, he is shocked and amazed by the change in his young next-door neighbor. Keith has grown up while Jesse was away and he does not know how to take all of the changes.

Keith Taylor has had a huge crush on his neighbor for many years. He was disappointed when Mr. Winters left and even more disappointed when he broke his promise to keep in touch. He is pleased that Jesse has returned and determined to get what he wants. He pursues Jesse with relentless yet devoted, determination.

Keith is a consenting adult when Jesse returns to their hometown and able to act on his wants and needs. He had expected Jesse to come back much sooner but soon realizes why he did not. Keith is not put off by the scars and weaknesses Jesse has acquired as the results of a tragic accident and does his best to show Jesse how he feels. This tale proves that love can indeed conquer all.

Jesse and Keith are fabulously complex characters who gave me many thought provoking moments. The sex scenes between them sizzle with sensuality. Mr. McBride pens a sensational story that really grabbed my attention and kept it. I recommend this intriguing tale of love to anyone who enjoys stories of same sex relationships that exhibit tenderness and caring for others.
