Kathleen Wright or Kay to her friends is having a bad day. While standing in line at the bank, she is held hostage by a bank robber, but is released right outside. Then, while shopping with her best friend, she is accused of shoplifting. The one upside to these events is one Officer Joe Morton with his cute buns.

Officer Joe Morton is curious about the vivacious red head that seems to be in the wrong place at the right time for trouble. Having been alone for two years, his interest in her is the first in a long time. Learning all about her will be a challenge.

Kay and Joe starting dating and every thing is going well but Kay hits a snag when her mother orchestrates a meeting with a new attorney from her father’s law firm. Bob expresses his interest, Kay is flattered, and she casually dates him too. Things get dicey when Joe’s mother sees her with Bob. Kay has to make a tough decision, Joe or Bob?

Ms. Edmondson has written a funny, quirky story about dating in the new millennium. Kay is your typical self doubting young lady with a promising business, while Joe is the blue collar policeman with a sensitive heart. Kay’s dating Bob while dating Joe brings up the question of dating etiquette, which we all get mired in from time to time. Knowing your own feelings is at the heart of this story and I am sure many women are faced with this question. I enjoyed how Ms. Edmondson handles the question of friendship loyalty and honesty at all costs.
