He only half listened though, waiting for her to pull her hand away. Yet, Danu didn't, if anything, she snuggled closer. Their arms, their hips touched which led Triton to feel the oxygen rushing to his brain. Giddy-headed, yes, that's how he felt.

All too soon, the speech ended and he let go. Clapping, he turned and noticed Danu's disappointed look at his hands. Yes, she'd enjoyed that as much as he had. One by one, the rows of the gallery stood to make their way back out into the corridors. Danu stepped out ahead of him. She looked once over her shoulder and then slipped a hand behind her for him to grasp. Triton kept close and followed Danu out and down toward the rooms he shared with Dylan, not toward the communication offices.

She glanced back over her shoulder, pulling a strand of hair from her face. Triton noted the pale pink blush of her cheek. Excitement coursed between them making the waters swirl with anticipation. Danu swam faster almost pulling Triton along. They spilled out into the courtyard and she pulled him behind the towering roots from the trees above.

“Danu?” Triton questioned.

She placed a finger upon his lips. “Hush.” Her voice thick with emotion cut him at his knees. Triton trembled feeling the light caress of her finger tracing the outline of his mouth.

“This goes against my beliefs,” she whispered and stared at him while her hand snaked beneath his ear toward the back of his head. Triton felt her hand pull at the locks that brushed the top of his shoulders. “But, alas, it seems I cannot help myself.”

Under his delighted glaze, she drew closer. His hands, which rested on the ruffle of fins around her hips, drew across the outline of her hips, to Danu's ribs to rest beneath the swell of her breast. With his thumbs, Triton stroked their underside while he gazed deep into her eyes. Again, she dampened her lips causing his desire to flame. Danu closed her eyes and her sweet cascade of bubbles burst over his face.
