The Naughty Librarian

Author(s): Crystal Red

Layla Gunderson is a librarian who wants to do something about her love life. She goes to a fortune teller and is told she’s going to meet a guy and have a fun, sexy night with him. Jace Meyer, an OB doctor she’s been crushing on, is the one she hopes will make it come true.

The more she gets involved with Jace, the more she wonders if something is going to go wrong. With an ex-girlfriend who wants him back, Layla questions whether she can let Jace’s past go or believe what his ex tries to convince her is the truth.

Warning: Anal play and sex.

The drive to her red bricked duplex was a blur. The old fortune teller was crazy, right? There was no way she could meet anyone tonight. Much less a man she was meant to spend an incredible night of hot sex with. She parked and then climbed out of her car after grabbing her purse. She headed up the walkway. Just before she reached her door someone called her name.

She whirled around to face her neighbor, Brian Palmer, a divorced dad who lived next door. He’d moved in about two years ago and only saw his kids every other weekend.

His dark hair was slick and parted to the left side of his head. A spark flickered in his green eyes as he smiled. “I just got a new bottle of wine. My ex is getting remarried. Would you like to try a glass and celebrate with me?”

Layla stopped and stared at him, stunned. Brian hadn’t said two words to her since he’d moved in. Now he invited her to his place for a drink? Had Sherry been right?

She cringed. Brian was twelve years her senior, and she had no desire to do anything with him, especially alone.

“Thanks, but I’m kind of busy.” Layla forced a smile, then proceeded to her place.

Brian’s hand encircled her upper arm in a vice-like grip. She couldn’t move. “With what? It’s Friday night. You gotta have a little fun. You’re done working, aren’t you?” His words slurred out and his breath reeked as if he’d downed a bottle of wine already. Maybe more.

“Yes, but…” She tried to free herself from him but failed. “Really, I’m very busy. Maybe another night.” Instead she found herself backed toward his side of the house.

He peered at her, his eyes glassed over. “I bet we could have a lot of fun together, sugar. Just you and I.”

“I believe the lady said no. Now leave her alone before I call the cops,” a familiar male voice boomed from behind Brian.

Layla’s breath caught as Jace approached them.

Brian held his hands up, backing away from her. “I just wanted to hang out with her. That’s all. I swear.”

Jace’s brown eyes narrowed into tiny slits. “She didn’t look comfortable.”

Brian snorted. “Maybe you should mind your own fucking business. She wanted it. Isn’t that right, sugar?”

Jace’s expression darkened, his fists balled at his sides. “She is my business, asshole.”

“You’re not going to do shit, pretty boy.” Brian moved closer to Jace, glowering at him.

“I’m calling the police.” Jace pulled a smart phone out of his pocket.

“Fine. I’ll go inside,” Brian fumed, stomping up the cement steps to his place. He slammed the front door.

Jace closed his phone, then dropped it back into his pocket. His face softened as he stared into her eyes. “You okay?”

She nodded. A knot formed in her belly. How did Jace know to show up at the time she really needed him? Her heart fluttered as he cupped her face. His hands were warm and gentle. Not rough at all like some guys’ were who worked with them. But then again, it was August not December. His gaze caressed her face.

“Has he ever acted like this before?”

She shook her head.

“Come on.” He dropped his hands from her face and held on to one of hers instead. “I’ll walk you to your house.”

The warmth of his touch sent jolts of ecstasy to every nerve ending, including her pussy. It never failed for her to get aroused when he was close. She was always wet for him. Always.

As they walked up to the sidewalk path to her house, she didn’t say anything, even though a million questions swirled in her mind. She wanted him. Bad. More than her next breath, but if he didn’t want her back, then why was he there? Did he just want to be her friend? Her heart sunk at the thought. They stood on her porch and stared into each other’s eyes.

“Maybe I should come in,” he murmured.

Layla’s pulse jumped. So maybe Sherry had meant she’d have the fun and naughty night with Jace. Damn, she hoped so.

“Yeah, you never know,” she whispered past a tight lump in her throat.

The moment Jace entered her home, one thing was for sure. She didn’t want to be just friends. She wanted to seduce him.
