Are you up to dancing with the devil and at his whim? What would you give to leave a world of endless darkness for one of light and color?
Amelia is wondering how far she would go to regain all that she lost.
Amelia Meyrick, a woman driven to make her world safer, struck a bargain with a creature from the depths of hell itself. Offering her the bargain of her sight for service to him, she walked blindly into a deal that would change her life forever.
Would you make a deal with a devil to fulfill your dreams?
She crouched in the shadows, blade in hand and waited. She didn't have to wait long before heavy footsteps headed her way at a run. A soft whimper echoed along with a harsh male voice telling whoever he had to shut up. Slowly she crept out, waiting for her opening. There was always an opening. All she had to do was wait.
The blade handle was warm in her hand and the blade would be lethally sharp. The two suddenly loomed before her and silently she lunged, burying her blade into the back of his neck, severing the spine completely. It pulled out easier then a hot knife in butter. She watched calmly as the woman screamed and fell with him.
"Get up. He won't hurt you again. Go home and sleep." She said quietly once the woman had jerked free of the dead man. The slender brunette stared wide-eyed at her and trembled.
Amelia sighed and reached out to hold one of her cold hands. "Go home."
"Wh-who are you?"
"An angel of death." She looked down at the dead man and began to go through his pockets. The sound of running feet told her that the woman had fled and she continued to make sure there was nothing left. Only when she was satisfied did she pull out a black velvet bag and reach inside of it. She sprinkled some herbs over the dead man's chest and pulled a thin blade from up her sleeve.
