When a homeless drug addict is shot trying to tell something to Eric Thorne, nobody else seems to care very much. Eric starts to make his own inquiries, and ends up mixing with underworld kingpins, federal agents, occultists and several levels of human depravity.
The trail leads through abandoned buildings, posh penthouses, street level crime and high-level cover-ups. With an undercover narc, a beat cop and a local pastor as his only allies, Eric digs into "Pegleg's" last days and uncovers a killer we might find frighteningly familiar.
