"We're bringing down the house tonight."

Willow Kanter bobbed her head to the cadence of Luc Moline's words. The Glow front man could read the yellow pages to her and she'd melt into a puddle of goo. She dragged her fingers through her hair and continued to sway. She should've been taking more photographs for the fan forum. Later. The forum could wait, especially when the rollicking songs from the latest Glow record were playing.

As she danced, a scent wrapped around her. Willow crinkled her nose. Smells had never bothered her before. What was that aroma? She tipped her head. A combination of pine and cologne. She glanced over her shoulder. A man stood beside her, barely moving. Instead of the fear she expected, intrigue filled her mind. Everyone else who went to the Glow concerts danced. The music wrapped around the crowd and incited movement. Except him.

Willow dragged her gaze from him and focused on the stage. The man's visage remained in her brain. The guy had muscles, the kind derived from physical labor. His hair appeared dark like his clothes, but who could tell in the kaleidoscope of lights? There was something feral about him, like he wavered on the edge of control. And dear God, he was tall.

Her heart pounded and her pussy pulsed. Crazy. Men didn't get to her and certainly not that fast. Hell, most men didn't even make it onto her radar. After Chad, she hadn't cared about the opposite sex. Getting close to someone meant getting hurt. Getting hurt was too damned close to giving in to the past.

"This is my favorite song."

Willow jerked her attention from her thoughts to the person speaking. Mr. Handsome to her right stood much closer. The stage lights flickered in his eyes, and a hank of his inky hair slipped in front of his eyes.

She opened her mouth to say something, but no sound came out.

Mr. Handsome grinned. "Sorry. I don't like pick-up lines and didn't want to use one." He waved his hands. "No harm, no foul."

The gravelly rumble of his voice shot down her spine. Part of her didn't want to reach out to him. The rest of her wanted to yank him close and taste him. When he turned away from her, she opted to take the chance.

"Don't go."

He stopped, but didn't turn around.

"I like this song, too." Her heart hammered. She wiped her sweaty hands on the hem of her skirt. "Makes me want to slow dance." She pressed her lips together. Well, fuck. Didn't that sound like a come on?

Instead of saying anything, Mr. Handsome grasped her hand. He tucked her into the curve of his chest and rubbed his cheek on the top of her head. The scent she'd noticed earlier grew stronger and comforted her. He towered over her and gave her an odd sense of calm. Stepping out of her comfort zone scared her, and yet he brought her out from behind her barriers. She swayed with him through the next four songs.

Mr. Handsome stopped moving. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Luc's not singing about love."

Willow giggled. "Yeah, he's moved on to the harder stuff." She lifted her phone and snapped a few photos of the band. "Since he locked things down with Taygan, he's mellowed and embraced more inventive riffs. It's pretty freaking cool."

"You said it best. Want a drink?" Mr. Handsome spoke in her ear, sending shivers through her being. "I'm buying."

"Coke in a bottle. Don't open it. Thanks." Willow followed his movements as he disappeared into the crowd. She'd check the bottle neck when he came back. Handsome didn't mean there wasn't a chance he'd do something hinky to her drink.

The crowd moved around her and a woman crashed into her shoulder. "Excuse me," the woman snapped. Her eyes flashed a shade of yellow Willow had never seen before. The tone of her voice sounded more like a growl than anything. Not wanting to piss off the woman, Willow stepped out of the woman's way and took a breath to gather her thoughts. When Willow looked at the concertgoer again, the yellow wasn't in her eyes. Strange. The woman's lips curled into a sneer as she disappeared into the tumble of people.

"You meet all kinds," Willow said to herself. When she looked for the woman, Mr. Handsome nodded and strolled toward her. Willow's nerve endings sizzled.

"Your Coke." He offered her the bottle. "Ice cold."

Willow glanced at the bottle neck. Perfectly intact. She twisted the cap, breaking the seal. "Thank you."

"My pleasure." Mr. Handsome placed his hand on her hip. The action kept her close without venturing into the arena of being creepy.

A tiny part of her screamed to be careful. She'd been down dangerous roads before. Willow measured her breathing and relaxed into the simple innocence of meeting someone at a concert. The music swelled around them and washed away some of her inhibitions. She loosened up and ground against him.

Mr. Handsome didn't grab her, didn't push her. He moved with her and sang to her. The guy was like a dream come true. She turned in his arms and buried her face against his chest. The song blared around her in a pulsing rhythm, but nothing mattered except her and Mr. Handsome.

He threaded his fingers into her hair and tipped her head. Willow clutched his shirt. What harm could come from a simple kiss? She rose up on her toes and met him for the kiss. The scrape of his five o'clock shadow abraded her cheeks. The cola on his tongue exploded in her mouth.

The music dulled to nothing and the rush of the crowd disappeared. She opened her eyes and stared up at him. For a split second, a flash of yellow colored the blue of his irises. She broke the kiss and jerked backwards.

Mr. Handsome released her. "Sorry. I got caught up in you, Wild Flower."
