An ordinary man wakes to find himself at the center of a biological disaster, trapped between two worlds: the living, and the dead.
I don’t know where they came from. Suddenly I was surrounded by people, snarling, angry, with wild looks on their faces. They were getting closer. I turned around and jumped into my car, pulling the door shut behind me. I needed to push one button to lock the doors. It took a second, I was only in the car for a moment, but they swarmed around my car, and I looked around and I saw were faces—faces, and hands pressed against the windows. They hammered on the windows with their fists. They made sounds, like mumbling or moaning, and with of them together doing it, it sounded like amplified white noise from the radio.
