Home Again, Home Again

Author(s): Nadine Christian

Book 2 of The Bounty's Return series.

One choice to make between two loves…but, who’s fooling who?

Home for Tina means family, Pitcairn Island and a job as an aircraft engineer. She’s not looking for love, so when pilot Blane Solis sweeps her off her feet, she is soon flying into the heady slipstream of romance…but, is he the one for her?

Tina’s childhood sweetheart, Connor Brown doesn't think so. What dark secret is Blane hiding, and why is he hell bent on ensuring Tina doesn't find out? Can Tina ever forgive Connor for what he did so many years ago?

One heart. Two men. A shattered past and an unsure future…with love on the line.

Tina’s stomach lurched as the small ten seater Dessault Falcon banked, tipping one gleaming wing into the sunlight. Looking straight down out of the small Plexiglass window, her breath caught, the sensation of falling causing stomach to clench and knot as the aircraft banked. She grit her teeth against the fear that Kate unbidden, hands gripping tighter on the armrests. We’re landing on that? Her mind balked at the thought. The island was tiny. A minuscule blot of green and brown in a vast, never ending sheet of blue.

A confident male voice spoke over the roar of the engines and Tina’s now mind numbing sense of panic.

“This is your pilot speaking. We’re about twenty minutes from landing at fabulous Pitcairn Island. We’ll need you to buckle your seat belts and return your seat-backs and tray tables to their upright position. It’s a balmy thirty degrees Celsius at our destination, the locals have informed me that they’re ready and awaiting your arrival.” A warm, throaty chuckle crackled over the intercom. “Only place in the world you’ll get welcomed by the whole island. Enjoy the rest of your flight.”

Tina increased her grip on the arm rests and pressed herself back into the leather seats. For all the luxury of the aircraft on its inaugural flight to the island, the pilot’s smooth voice did nothing to calm the butterflies swimming in her belly.

“Ya nervous, honey?” Her neighbor had chattered almost non-stop through the whole four hour flight and until now had grated on her nerves. The woman had shared her name, address and underwear size, far too much information than Tina cared to know, and she’d switched off, just nodding and smiling at the right times to show some semblance of polite civility. Now, she was grateful for the distraction.
