Ancient prophecies have foretold the future of Faerie and of Caylith’s old homeland Britannia. Faerie is doomed to fall, possibly very soon. Oracles have named Caylith as the one who will lead all the denizens of Faerie from the twilight of magic into a new dawn and ensure that the people of Britannia and the scrolls of antiquity are saved from the coming barbarian invasions. In spite of the burden of being a “deliverer,” Caylith gathers her closest friends and allies and embarks on a journey to save both worlds.
But Faerie has already begun to be consumed by a ghastly mist and by some evil that seems to be draining life from her grandfather, even as it fells one of her close friends. How can Caylith truly be the savior, when she cannot save her friend, or even herself, from an evil that is far greater than she could possibly imagine?
