A wolf and a vampire...a love like no other.
Kia was a high school girl with her whole life ahead of her. She’d never expected that life to be cut short by something she’d never believed in. But it was, and now she was a vampire. Being a member of the undead and facing day-death every day makes it somewhat hard to find a career such as the one she had always planned. She has a serious decision to face as her money begins to run thin.
Benjamin Braxton was a lawyer and a werewolf. He’d been given the job of finding Kia Baxter and advising her of the news of her inheritance, as well as explaining to her the only thing her benefactor wanted; for Kia to give him an heir to his name, a child conceived of his frozen sperm. Could she do it? Or would she give up everything and run away with Benjamin? Could they find a love like no other?
He looked at me, then looked again as if he couldn't believe that I was the vampire he'd come to see. "Kia?"
I smiled and then held out my hand to him. "Bobby," I whispered as I watched him take my hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"You as well, Miss Kia. You look nothing like what'd I'd expected."
"I hope that's a good thing?"
"Oh, definitely. I had visions of long red capes, and blood drooling down from your mouth."
I laughed. Bobby was very enjoyable and I hadn't gotten near his throat yet. "I could probably manage that if it would make you feel more comfortable."
"Definitely not." His hand traced over my arm then landed on the soft curve of my waist. He tugged me closer, his lips brushing across mine. Just that tiny touch made me feel two things; one was desire, the other was a hunger that was growing stronger every minute.
"Do you want to do this here?" I asked breathlessly.
"Oh no. It would be so much more comfortable in your bedroom."
