You never know what might happen on the way to Grandmother's house!
Red was a simple girl until Grandmother gave her a red riding cloak. She felt especially pretty in her new cloak, but the temptation to feel all that luxurious velvet pressed to her naked flesh was just too great. Now, something has awakened inside Red. A persistent ache that she doesn't know quite how to relieve. Red decides to use her Tuesday walks to dear old Grandmother's as an opportunity to sample all of the delights the local men have to offer, in a journey to find the one man that can satisfy her.
But Red is not aware that two magical creatures have taken a special interest in her naughty escapades or that true pleasure just might be found at the hand of a master in wolf's clothing!
Once upon a time in a small village, a daughter was born to a loving couple who had given up hope of having children, due to their advancing age. They considered their little bundle a blessing and named her Red, for she had hair the color of fire.
The child’s Grandmother was not as positive the child was to be a blessing because, as all know, those born with hair like a flame often have too much fire in their hearts. “And,” Grandmother reminded them, “Fire is a sign of a sinner. Mark my words; you are going to need to keep a close eye on that girl.”
But Red was such a beautiful child, and her parents loved her so much, they never saw the tendencies Grandmother warned them about. Thus Red was often overindulged by her parents, though Grandmother cautioned them to be vigilant.
Spoilt children seldom have true friends and such was the case with Red. However, only thinking of her own desires, she never seemed to be bothered by not having playmates. After all, one day she would have all the playmates she could ever want.
Red became very dear to her wise old Grandmother, whose heart appeared to have been melted by the young girl’s beautiful smile. When she became a maiden, Grandmother gave her a red velvet cloak. If poor Grandmother had known what things the luxurious garment would awaken inside Red, perhaps she would not have given the selfish girl such a gift. The orange hair of Red’s youth that Grandmother had seen as a sign of wicked tendencies had grown into a glorious thick mane of copper. When Red caught sight of herself in the red cloak, she knew there had never been a more beautiful maiden than herself.
