House Rules

Author(s): Veronica Tower

What happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas, but what if what happens follows you home?

Taylor Fortis is a shy biracial graduate student looking to put a little excitement into her life. She meets Don and Angie in her Vegas hotel and agrees to go out gambling with them. The thrill of the dice combined with Don and Angie’s playful flirtations awaken a passion within Taylor that she never dreamed existed and has no idea how to handle. Once unleashed, these new found pleasures begin to take over Taylor’s life, encouraging her to experiment with situations she finds both exciting and disturbing.

Just how much excitement and risk can one woman handle?

He was dressed more casually than he had been this morning with loafers instead of wingtips and khakis and an unbuttoned oxford instead of a suit. If anything, it made him look even better to Taylor. There was an easy confidence about him that she found very charismatic and his innuendo-laced banter as he talked with her and Angie had Taylor feeling very sexy and desirable.

Taylor felt out of place. She had never played craps before and she felt very uncomfortable standing at a table where the minimum bet was $25. She had pulled another $300 out of the ATM machine but the money she had lost last night had really hurt her finances and she couldn’t afford to lose anymore. Still, it was a once in a lifetime situation and she didn’t want to disappoint Don and Angie.

“Craps is the best game in the house,” Don explained. “Odds are almost fifty-fifty that you can score a pass when you shoot.”

Taylor did as she was told. Angie had put $100 on that line, and Don had what looked like $300 in mostly $25 chips. Other gamblers were doing the same and making other more specialized bets like eight the hard way.

Angie pursed her lips and blew long and slowly over the dice. It was very sexy. Her slinky green dress maximized her cleavage and Taylor would bet that when she leaned over to blow on the dice her short hem rose to expose her garters.

Her breath caught and she backed half a step away.

“I plan to get very lucky,” Angie purred as Don shook the dice and threw them down the table.

Everyone gathered around the table cheered. A $25 chip magically appeared next to Taylor’s bet and Don dipped into his own winnings to add another chip to Angie and Taylor’s piles.

Angie’s fingernails were scratching lightly at the back of Don’s shirt as he scooped up the dice and brought them to her to blow upon. She leaned down, showing her own cleavage and stared directly into Taylor’s eyes as she blew gently on the dice in Don’s hands.

She didn’t break Angie’s gaze when she leaned down for her turn, carefully blowing on the little white cubes. The two women continued to stare at each other as Don tossed the dice down the table.
