The SIS Case Files Stories

Author(s): AR Moler

Three short stories from the SIS Case Files are collected here.

In Fortune Cookies Are Better in Bed, SIS Agent Evan Garrett has plans for his partner, John. Chinese food for two, to start with. Things lead to dessert in the elevator with a bottle of chocolate syrup. When the plan backfires, with embarrassing results, Evan has to figure out how to save the night. Are fortune cookies better in bed?

When you’re stuck in an epic DC beltway traffic jam, how do you pass the time? Frisky, sexy antics are a good start. Read all about them in Chinese Fire Drill.

Lastly comes Mandatory Fun. The head of Special Investigative Services, John Benchley, dreads the holiday season. In recent years, he’s lost two friends and fellow agents. The last thing he wants to do right now is participate in the mandatory Yuletide interagency bash. In particular, he’d really, really like to avoid an old hook-up, the man-eating Madison Carthage. Gabrielle Dichenz and Evan Garrett, his current lovers, promise him a reward for being a good boy and hanging in there. Sexy grown-up presents are good; love and support are better. John’s Christmas season just might take a turn for the better this year.

They walked back across the big open room to the elevator and got in. Evan handed the cuffs to John and held out his wrists. He could tell John was just a little uncertain about this from the careful way he clamped the first cuff around his left wrist. Evan detected a certain level of cautious anxiety and wondered if the two of them would ever totally make it past the part where John wanted to treat him like he was made of glass. It had only been a couple of months since Evan had been shot in the line of duty.

“Not too tight is it?” John asked.

“No, it’s fine.”

John nudged him backward, a hand on Evan’s chest and passed the short chain of the cuffs down through the handrail at the back of the elevator, leaving Evan facing outward. Then he carefully closed the second cuff and placed each of his own hand on either side of Evan’s head and leaned in for a kiss.

“So… are you going to move on to the chocolate part?” asked Evan.

“Getting there.” John pushed the button to send them back to the top floor and proceeded to undo the buttons of Evan’s shirt while the elevator crept up. He pulled the shirt loose from Evan’s belt and left it hanging open. Dropping to his knees, he leaned forward and closed his teeth gently on the hard length beneath Evan’s fly.

Evan let out a slight groan.

Reaching the top floor, the elevator doors slid open and John got back to his feet. He stood in the retracted doorway for a moment, holding it open, and said, “I’ll be right back. Don’t go anywhere.” He gave Evan a lecherous smile and walked toward his quarters and the kitchen. He got a bottle of chocolate syrup from the door of the refrigerator and started back to the elevator. It made a “ding” and the floor indicator above the door said it was descending. What the…? There was no way Evan could reach the panel of buttons to make it move to another floor, not with way he was cuffed. Could he have pushed a button with a toe of his shoe? Oh shit, what if Evan hadn’t been the one to make the elevator descend at all? John darted to the window at the end of the short hall and looked down into the parking lot. Beside Evan’s car was Fiona’s. Fuck. He bolted down the stairs.
