What it's All About

Author(s): Tory Temple

Maxwell has been looking forward to college for the last two years. Finally at the university of his choice, school is everything he hoped it would be, especially the fraternity he's decided to rush for. It doesn't hurt that one of his fellow pledges, Devin Page, is really good looking and likely into guys, if his flirting is any indication. But what Max finds out pretty quickly is that things are not always as they seem, especially when it comes to cute guys. Devin has a very specific set of rules for what is supposed to happen at college. Max is hoping for more than just rules to define what they have together. Will the two of them be able to find a common subject to study, or will their budding friendship take the road to failure?

Previously published in the Kegs and Dorms anthology.

He headed out of the warm kitchen into the cooler, dimly-lit hallway. He’d left his clothes in the upstairs bathroom, like he’d been instructed to do, so Max climbed the stairs to the second floor and pushed open the third door in the hallway.

“You could knock.”

Startled, Max stepped back. The overhead light in the hallway was bright enough that he hadn’t realized the bathroom light had also been on and the room wasn’t empty. Devin Page tugged his shirt down over a well-toned chest and arched a brow at Max.

“Uh.” Max fumbled for words. “Sorry? The door wasn’t all the way closed.” He became even more painfully aware of the fact that Devin was fully dressed and Max was still in his underwear.

Devin’s brow shot up even higher. “Yeah, it was.”

“Okay. Um, sorry, man. Can I get my clothes?” Max prayed to anyone listening that his cock wouldn’t start to react to the flash of bare skin he’d seen before Devin had pulled his shirt down.

Devin stepped to one side and motioned at the bathroom, so Max slipped by him and shut the door. As an afterthought, he clicked the lock on the knob and wondered if he actually heard a chuckle on the other side or if it was just his imagination.

The only thing Max knew about Devin Page was that he was a freshman like Max, lived in a different dorm, and they were pledging the same fraternity. Other than that, the man was a total mystery.

He has a nice ass, his subconscious whispered. Max glowered at himself in the mirror. He was pretty sure the frat by-laws forbade perving on the other pledges, but the strip of Devin’s bare stomach combined with the memory of Devin’s ass as he made his earlier dash through the woods was enough to get Max’s cock stirring.
