Talking with Erin Moore.
Welcome, I like to thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to answer a few
questions.
.How Long did it take you to get your first book published? My first book The Game took
about two or three years to find a publisher, it was a lot quicker for my new release All I
Ever Wanted.
How did you feel the day your book was released? Ecstatic! The best part was holding
it in my hands. I felt as though I had achieved my dream.
Do you have a strict writing schedule? I'd like to have one. I try to write from 9 to 4:30,
stopping when my husband gets home from work. But lately (since the kids are home
from school, I'm finding that I like to sleep in, and start working much later in the day.
Do you usually outline your stories before you write them? I do write an outline for all my
stories, though I don't stick to it. My stories usually take a life of their own and never end
how I had originally thought it would.
Have you always wanted to write romance? I love romance and will always have a
romantic spin in my books. Though I'm finding that I love to write mainstream fiction,
where I can add a lot of different elements into the stories.
What are some of your hobbies? Reading when I get the chance, which isn't often.
Sports with my children and ceramic painting. I've been doing the painting for years.
Are you working on any writing projects right now? My newest book that I'm working on
is tentatively titled Shadows and it's the first book I've set in my hometown.
How can your readers contact you? I always love to hear from my readers, they can
contact me at erin@erinmoore.org I also have a guest book at my web site
http://www.erinmoore.org/ that when someone leaves me a message I usually reply to
them.
Have you ever had writers block? Yes and it's horrible. I've had it once (knock on wood)
and the book I was working on I'm still looking for a publisher for.
What is your web site add? http://www.erinmore.org/ I invite everyone to visit and read
free excerpts of my novels. You can also keep up on my latest news through my
newsletter that goes out every other month. I keep everyone updated on my newest
releases, upcoming events, my latest news and contests.
Who are your favorite authors? Sandra Brown, Karen Robards, Julie Garwood, and
Stephen King to name a few. There are plenty more.
How long have you been writing? I began writing eight years ago as a hobby. I've been
writing seriously for about 5 years.
Can you tell us about your story All I Ever Wanted. All I Ever Wanted is about Amber
Toadvine who had been jilted at the alter by Craig James the love of her life. Craig had
found Amber in the arms of another man and left without finding out if she was really
cheating on him. What he didn't know was that he was leaving Amber to a fate worse
than death. All I Ever Wanted is about two people finding themselves thrown back
together under the worst of situations and they have to get through first that, then they
slowly begin to deal with their past and put the pieces back together, only to have
another more deadly threat, threaten to tear them apart.
Do you have any thing to add? My next release is titled Flame and is due out later this
year. You can check out a free excerpt at my web site. Thanks for having me!
