One thing that I have always wanted to do was read and write. Growing up, I would always enter every reading contest during the summer at the library to see how
many of the books I could read to get a certificate. Reading always took me to
places that I would never visit. It allowed me to meet people and see what kind of
life they lived or things that I could relate. In my spare time when I didn’t have a
book in my hand, I would have a pencil. It seems as if everyday, I would have a new
story to tell as I took pen to paper. Out of nowhere the stories seemed to pour out
of my head. My head would spin with so many different tales, and I wanted to share
them with others. I had a very supportive husband who urged me to continue
writing and to seek publishers. Bob was always there every step of the way giving
me all the encouragement I needed. I will always be thankful to him for that.
When I am not writing, I like to travel and see places that give me a better in-depth
to my stories. Sitting by a lake on a sunny day or on a high mountain watching the
birds fly in the sky always give me a soothing calmness that allows my mind to
open up and express what my heart is truly feeling in every book that I write.
I live in southern Georgia, but I call home wherever I can sit with my laptop and pour
out my words into stories. To me this is the best getaway that relaxes my soul. I
have three beautiful daughters, Marvetta, Suzanne, and Lisa Renee’ who have
always supported me in everything I do. I love them for that. We share a bond that
is full of love and respect for each other. I lost my dear hubby on May 26th of this
year but he told me never to give up my writing.
