Amy has been reading voraciously since she learned the entire Scrambled Eggs Super by Dr. Suess by heart. She always read above and beyond her ‘expected’ level in school, which was fine by her parents and teachers.
Of course all this reading gave her a bit of a wild imagination, with the need to write.
Amy picked up her first romance novel at the age of 14, Connie Mason’s Ice & Rapture which she shared with her beloved Nanny (grandmother) who was dying of terminal cancer. Ice & Rapture was the last book her Nanny read, and Amy still has a copy of that tattered book.
Life got in the way in the form of children, and it wasn’t until she was on her first maternity leave did she start seriously writing again, but it was after the birth of her second child and spending nights in a NICU with a baby not expected to survive, that she realized life was just too precious not to take a chance on your dream.
After a miraculous recovery of her miracle baby (who is now a healthy toddler) she made her dreams come true and her first book came out with Ellora’s Cave in 2007. Since then she hasn’t looked back.
She loves history, the paranormal, and will spew out historical facts like a volcano, much to her dearest hubby's chagrin.
When she's not thinking about the next sensual romp, she's chasing after three rug rats and reading anything spicy that she can get her hands on.
