When I was a kid I absolutely hated to read. In fact, in third grade I failed reading. However, I remember when I was 12 years old, I happened to pick up a Johanna Lindsay book and fell in love with romance. From then on I was hooked. In high school, my choice for book reports was always romances. Now, at that tender age I passed the sex scenes because they embarrassed me. However, they sure don't embarrass me anymore, the steamier the better. I am an avid reader sticking to all types of romance. The different genres of romances I read are anything from paranormal to historical to contemporary to menage a trois to Scottish. If they have a good plot and a hot hero and a strong heroine than the books are for me. The one thing I can't stand in a book is a wimpy heroine that whines and faints. Girl power baby!
I am 30 years old, have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost ten year, and have two kids. My son is 8 and my daughter is 7. My husband and my story is just like a good romance read. I was dating two guys at the same time. One was popular, good looking, and a total jerk to me. The other, not so popular, had 75% of his body covered in birthmarks, and a sweetheart to me. I didn't know who to stick with. Hey, I was 18 and still immature. On the train to meet my sister I prayed for an answer of who to choose. The handsome jerk or the boy who's birthmarks scared me. My broken CD player suddenly started playing. And the song ......"You Don't Have To Be Picture Perfect For Me To Love You"! That said it all for me. And we have been together ever since.
I am very picky about what I like. I am the type who will read a book over and over again if I like it. I have roughly 300 books at home of my favorites, plus some that I continue to check out of the local library. I have tons of authors on myspace. If you would like to check out an additional profile of mine, here I am. www.myspace.com/1977bookworm
Hope to hear from you.
