Matilda Is a nickname my grandmother used to call me. When I hear it I think of her.

Reading is a part of me just like breathing. I have always had a book in my hands, now an e-reader as well. Being a reviewer has broadened my reading spectrum; reading things I never thought I would. As well as opening the door to more authors and e-books.

I have tried many different genres, right now my favorite is romantic suspense and inspirational. It changes depending on my moods.  I have met many new authors along the way some of my favorites are Debbie MaComber, VC Andrews, Steven King, John Saul , and many more.

A few random things about me:

I am married to Mel for the past 19 yrs we have a 20-something son Mel Jr.

I have an Associates degree in Business management. Although I have been among the ranks of the unemployed lately. I am hoping to pursue furthering my education and job prospects in 2010.

I have spent much of the past few years traveling much of the east coast with Mel, who is a truck driver. Although it is not the most glamorous way to travel I  have met many wonderful and strange people along the way and it makes for lots of great reading time too.

Besides reading I like to do crafts, I have tried my hand at painting ceramics, cross-stitch, needlepoint, even a bit of crocheting.

Although I haven't done much cooking lately. I enjoy collecting new recipes and watching the Food Network.

Overall I am a simple person which is why I need to read to add the things I lack in reality to my otherwise simple life.
