I’m so excited to have my name on a cup on the Coffee Crew’s page. I appreciate the opportunity to read new authors, share reviews, and work with authors to introduce themselves and their books to readers through CTR interviews.
I live with my family in the old family home on the Gulf Coast except when we’re in Atlanta, at least for now. I volunteer with local historical groups but my love has always been reading, both fiction and nonfiction. Several years ago, after having read thousands of novels over two decades, I decided to write a novel myself. But what to write? I love history and devour historicals, but a good paranormal with an intriguing world view is hard to pass up. Five novels later, my Sizzling Sisters at the Southern Sizzle Romance blog gave me the hard shove I needed to submit my work to publishers. Incredibly, I “got the call” from Champagne Books for Into the Lyon’s Den, a feline shapeshifter paranormal novella. Two weeks later, Siren BookStrand accepted His Obsession, a Georgian Regency novel for publication.
My website, ritabay.com, includes blurbs and excerpts of my stories, a bio, and Rita Bay’s Blog which features daily posts on historical/cultural topics. I also blog every Monday at the Southern Sizzle Romance blog about Heroic Hunks in History and second Mondays at The Writers Vineyard.
BTW, Eve, my avatar, is a lady from the past. The head, the only part of the figure that survives, was carved from mammoth ivory about 23,000 years ago which makes Eve’s face the oldest in human history.
