Some people use books as an escape, taking a few hours to become someone else and live their adventure. Some use it to gain knowledge, learning about different kinds of people and places and times. Some use it as a way to stretch their imagination...
I use it for all of the above and sometimes even makes up stories of my own.
After a life altering experience a few years ago (a couple strokes), I decided that life was an adventure and that I wanted a bigger piece of the adventure-pie. So I turned my life-long love of books to a career. Now words are my life. When I'm not reviewing, moderating, chatting or reading new books, I like to travel and see as much of the world as my wallet will allow. Me, my best friend and our kids sing too loud, break into dance in the grocery store and are prone to try just about anything. Life is a book and you are the author of the story of your life. Make it a story that no one will forget.
Even when I am traveling, books aren't far away. Since the invention of the Kindle, packing has been considerably less stressful for everyone involved in hauling luggage. I look forward to reading many more stories and using their pages as a way to see even more places that I have yet to explore and fall in love many more times. (There is no such thing as falling in love too many times... and some of the authors make such delicious heroes!)
I read everything I can get my hands on and particularly love paranormal romance and erotic, which I also write. I watch very little television, usually giving the remote over to my kids (I have two wonderful boys and one dynamic teen daughter) unless it is time for True Blood or Vampire Diaries. If it was once a book, I will watch it. Then I will rant and throw popcorn and get boo-ed by my kids for spoiling the plot. When it comes to movies, the same criteria applies but with more people boo-ing.
I am proud to be a member of the Coffee Time Romance and More family. We are a wild and wacky bunch but I haven't found a better place on the internet yet for authors and readers to meet, sit down with a cup of joe and chat. Happy reading!
