My very sincere intention is to do a new post to my blog every Sunday morning. Of course, 'sincere intention' doesn't always translate to reality. http://samanthagentry.blogspot.com

I'll add a note on this thread when I have a new blog posted.

Be sure to check out my current website contest. www.samanthagentry.com (http://www.samanthagentry.com)

Sunday, February 2nd -- Groundhog Day (and I don't mean the movie). The day that furry rodent emerges from his burrow to give the winter weather forecast. Spring on the horizon or 6 more weeks of winter? What is the origin of Groundhog Day? And what about those 'newcomers' who are challenging the reign of Punxsutawney Phil, the traditional weather prognosticator? Check out my blog this week to find out.

We just celebrated Valentine's Day, a day dedicated to love. It's also the day the chocolate industry happily counts its profits as do florists and jewelers. But chocolate reigns supreme for many Valentine gift givers and recipients. Check out my blog this week for a history of chocolate--the food of love. http://samanthagentry.blogspot.com (http://samanthagentry.blogspot.com/)

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous Sherlock Holmes story is The Hound Of The Baskervilles. But where did he get the inspiration to create this tale of a vicious hound haunting Dartmoor and preying on members of the Baskerville family? Check out my blog this week for the real story of The Hound Of The Baskervilles.

We're all aware of how technology has changed our lives, how our lives seem to be advancing at lightning speed compared to...well, compared to not that long ago. Jobs we took for granted back then are now obsolete. And then there's those jobs from WAY BACK WHEN that have been obsolete for a long time. Check out my blog this week for a list of 20 obsolete jobs. And be sure to come back next week for a list of jobs predicted to be obsolete in the next 20 years. http://samanthagentry.blogspot.com (http://samanthagentry.blogspot.com/)

WEEK OF APRIL 13, 2014

Last week my blog featured jobs that have already become obsolete, some of them a very long time ago and some more recently. This week I'm talking about jobs predicted to become obsolete in the next 20 years, or at least very out-of-date. Some are logical, some surprising, and some seem a little far-fetched. Check it out. http://samanthagentry.blogspot.com (http://samanthagentry.blogspot.com/)
