I'm pretty sure her books are Urban Fantasy, but there's no category for it in here so, I'm putting it in the paranormal slot. I cannot tell you how much I love these books though.
This series is wonderful. Ms Murphy blends Native American legends with the modern world so well that you expect to walk outside and see the magice happening your own front yard. Gary, is one of the most interesting characters I've ever read, he's supporting cast, a buddy, but still, she paints him as the most vital and hey, sexy 73 year old ever. Think a cross between Sean Connery and John Wayne with a whole lot of crusty humor. I love her protaganist female lead too. Joanne is stubborn, goofy, vulnerable, and most importantly, human.

Oh, but most important of all is.. I got the new book. :tt2:

But if you haven't talken as stroll in the Walker Papers yet, here they are in order with the ISBN#'s included

psst! There is a sci-fi/fantasy section. Do you think we should have a seperate Fantasy room?

:roflmao: that sounds like I was hitting on you. (winks at Jenn) do you want a Fantasy room little girl?:swoon:

I dunno, Karenne, depends on if this is a fantasy starrin you, me and your freaky foot fetish or not or if you're talkin bout the fantasy genre in general. :tt2:

Nah.. I put her here because her books have lots of paranormal elements in them too.. I don't think they are SciFi at all. Love them though.

My name is Jenna and I'm a cover ho.
Yeah, I'll admit it bought the first book because of the cover, but I don't care, look what I got for bein the Shallow Gal. See, sometimes you CAN judge a book by it's cover and get away with it.

I'm happy to hear the opinion of someone who has read these books. I read about them and have been looking for them ever since. I mostly shop used book stores and have 3 different ones on the look out for these for me. I may have to break down and buy them new!

Yeah, the *cough cough* Trade price is something, I know. But, hey, you never know when they'll come out in mass market, so be on the lookout for them in that section too. PC Cast's were in the Luna section at 14.99 a pop and then hers did the same thing.

I'll tell you though, that I feel CE's are worth every penny. Love them.

I really enjoyed the interview with C.E. Murphy. One of the book store owners around here was nice enough to lend me her copy of Urban Shaman. So now I really will have to go buy them all new. I enjoyed it a lot. Cheri
