What of his heart?
Was it still black and deceptive?
She knew not. Catrin only knew his closeness clouded her reason and confused her thoughts.

What is your Friday 56?

burned a path up his chest. He glanced away.
His life held no place for a woman. No

She gave not another thought to the man on the bed, who had strained
nearly every muscle in his body waiting for her to get to the point
in her explanation. An explanation that was no longer forthcoming
as he watched her rush from the room.

Warrick collapsed back and growled in frustration. Damn her.
"We must"--what?! Why could she not just spit it out?

"And give you the chance to drown me? I think not." What an absurd idea.
The man was crazy as a swineherd to think she'd wallow in the same water as he.

Aislynn didn't think through her actions. If they hesitated, the man was going to perish on his own blood. "Turn his head now! He's got a mouthful of his own blood and is sucking it in with each breath. Do you wish his death?"

I love this game the book nearest to me at the moment is LKH's new Anita Blake book Bullet. i haven't got as far as page 56 yet so here goes.

'what do you want?' Micah asked.
'to help. I swear to you, I'm here to make things better instead of worse'
'That would be a change,' Micah said.

Now i'm sure it wont take a whole lot of guessing who Micah is talking to, now i need to go read some more so i can find out what is going on this time.

This is from Get Lucky by Katherine Center: "Lying in bed, I found myself thinking back on the girl I'd been that summer my mother died, and how incredibly goofy I was. I was a kid who taught myself to draw Garfield and had made sketches for all my teachers as end-of-year presents. I used to practice magic tricks in front of a full-length mirror in my room in the earnest hope that I might one day have an impromptu chance to amaze a group of onlookers."

I'm not sure why, but this forum won't let me just add it here. Since it includes images, only the words show up and not the pics. So unfortunately, until I figure out why, you will have to visit my blog in order to see the book and the teaser. So sorry!
But I would definitely appreciate you taking the time to hop over there and check it out. It features Monica Burns' historical Kismet.
