Forbidden: Coming from Berkley Heat ~ 7th September 2010

I'd been thinking about setting up a mailing list for a while, and finally got around to it the other day. And then forgot to mention it to anyone! Whoops!

Anyway, if you would like to join up to my newsletter it would make me very happy :-) This isn't a chat loop and I promise not to flood your inbox!! In fact I don't think I'll even manage a regular monthly newsletter but I do promise to keep up to date with it. I'm also going to do a special contest for newsletter subscribers at the end of June - more on that later (though I can say it will have something to do with FORBIDDEN - there's a surprise!!!)

Here's the link! (http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/Christinaphillips/)

And here's the blurb for Forbidden

He was a master of seduction - but no match for the magical allure of the woman he wanted most.

Carys knew from the moment she first spied on Maximus in his naked barbarian glory that he was a dangerous Roman centurion - his taut, battle-scarred flesh marking him as a fearless warrior. But her desire for him was as undeniable as it was illicit.

Charged by his emperor to eliminate a clan of powerful Druids in Britain, Maximus never expects his mission to be thwarted by the clan's ethereal princess, Carys, his daring voyeur. Falling under her spell, he doesn't realize her true heritage - until he captures her heart as well as her body.

As Carys's loyalties are twisted, and freedom is no longer her single-minded obsession, an avenging former lover threatens to crush Maximus's people into oblivion. Now Carys and Maximus must overcome the devastation of war and face the ultimate sacrifice if their forbidden love is to survive.

Hi Christy! Thanks for joining my newsletter. I'm glad you enjoyed the blurb for FORBIDDEN! I'll post more details about the contest later in the month - I'll be picking one winner at the end of June, another at the end of July and a third at the end of August.

Have a great weekend!

LOL, Christy! There are some huge huntsmen spiders here, but apparently they aren't poisonous. It's the small redbacks we have to watch out for. I'm not a spider person at all so that aspect of moving to Australia really bothered me. But on the whole, it's not been nearly as bad as I imagined. Then again, we don't live anywhere near the bush!!!

Ugh, Christy! I still remember very clearly when I was 18, we were on holiday in the country. I looked down, and this ENORMOUS ( and I mean enormous - I'm sure it was also hairy) spider was running up my dressing gown towards me. I screamed so loud and jumped around but next thing I knew it was on my shoulder and in my hair. And that was in England!!!

I don't write about spiders, btw!!!

Bec, we're about an hour's south from Perth. We've been here coming up 12 years this Christmas... I can't believe it's been that long!!!
