View Full Version : Summer Beach Days

I'm absolutely thrilled that summer is nearly here. There's nothing like sitting on a beach with a good book or my freshly-loaded e-reader. I grew up a mile from the Chesapeake Bay and still hold a special fondness for that beach in my heart, but nothing compares with an ocean beach. Crashing waves, the smell of salt in the air, fine-grained sand between my toes - heaven! I especially love the beaches of the Outer Bank of North Carolina. I've visited lighthouses throughout the Carolina coast and have collected replicas of these. They bring back such memories.
Who else loves the beach on a hot summer day? Which beaches are your favorites?:spotman:

Having fun in the sun is always good Victoria. But Summer isn't the season this time of year for me. Instead, it's Winter Time. Looks like I'll be pulling out the jeans, jumpers and ugg boots. LOL

Hi, Charmed Girl!
So, where do you go when it's warm and sunny? Where are the best beaches down under?
I think cold weather has its appeal, too - nothing like a hike in the cold followed by cuddling up with my husband by a warm fire, holding a cup of coffee with Irish Creme.

Well I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, so I live about 5minutes from some of the best beaches.
Mooloolaba is a very popular one. Then there's Noosa which is about an hours drive from where I am.

I live in the midwest too. And the tiny little beaches around here I really don't want to swim in. Close a lot for algey(not sure I spelled that right)~The yucky green stuff in the water. :turned: I would love to go to a big beach near the oceans. That would be neat.
