Do y'all have any favorite watercolor techniques you like to use?
I like the effect of using salt and splattering with an old toothbrush. Can be messy but fun.
Sponges offer a multitude of uses. Trees and shrubs are what I use them for frequently.
Wadded up plastic wrap is a great way to add texture, too.
