I'm an artist (oils/landscapes) and author. Not easy to keep up with two loves. At my signings, I also offer stationery and note cards with prints of my paintings. Often I give them as handouts for special events. The artist who rendered the cover of my first book, The Sweet Smell of Death, used one of my paintings. I'd love to have you visit my site.

IT is all so different from the bayou to the inner courtyards and even more ... very nice work... I wonder what they really look like close up I bet even better though. Fantastic art. I have a cousin who does all different mediums and her house is filled with her artwork so I am used to seeing the real thing.

Thanks for showing it to us.

Thanks, Lainey.
Just befriended you on MySpace. Love your background. Manuscript under consideration now is set in the Cascades and a wolf plays a big part. By the way, the heroine in The Sweet Smell of Death is named Laney.

Sylvia, what a great idea to share your artwork at signings!

I use my art for my book covers, also, combining fine art with photography. In the past few years, I've been focusing on computer art, drawing with a graphics tablet, and I love that. It's how I created the main characters on my second novel cover. I dabble in watercolor and acrylics, also, but have focused mainly on pencil and charcoal drawings through the years.

Hello, LK Hunsaker, (no first name?)http://www.coffeetimeromance.com/board/images/icons/icon7.gif
Glad to meet you. Have requested you as a friend on MySpace. Yes, being an artist has its advantages. Opens the door to art festivals where you can also sell and sign your book as part of your work. Neat, huh?

Hi, Lorraine. Nice to meet you. I can't handle the computer--graphics or photo shop. It's way past my ability. Give me a blank canvas and turn me loose--that's my thing.
