THE WILLOW
The Magical Sword Series ~ Book One

Liquid Silver Books ~ July 2010

A past of secrets, a life broken by death―awakens to a world of promise and love, but lurking danger threatens to destroy it all.

In Carson City, Nevada a tragic car accident has claimed the lives of Nexi Jones’ adoptive parents. Now, without them, her reason to live has vanished and she is determined to end her pain.

The problem with that, it’s not heaven she wakes up to, it’s the Otherworld. Nexi must reconcile the truth about her past, and her heritage as part guardian/part witch, while she begins to train to join the Council’s guard. But it’s not the combat training that has her worried, its attempting to keep her cool around the luscious guardian, Kyden that’s her biggest concern.

Before long, Nexi’s skills are put to the test as she begins to fight against the supernatural who have taken a human life. But nothing can prepare her for the journey ahead. Soon, she will find herself lost in a mystery and fighting to keep all she’s gained, as Lazarus, a vampire, threatens to take it all away.

A DEADLY WHISPER
The Watchers ~ Book One

Cobblestone Press ~ Summer 2010

Nephillim are the offspring of a fallen angel and a human. Two kinds live within this race: Watchers―women gifted with the ability to watch the act of a demon devouring a soul. Seekers―men who fight against such evil and vow to rid the world of its existence.

The Seeker, Knox has waited two hundred years for his Watcher. And now, he has found her. But this woman, Paxtyn is not as willing to join him as he had hoped. The more he tries to prove himself to her, the more she is pushing him away…

Paxtyn has spent a lifetime keeping her secret hidden from the world, but now, she must confront these deadly visions head on. When a string of murders brings her into New Orleans, she must use her gift to communicate with spirits to discover who has ended their lives…

Nothing will ever be the same. Everything will be on the line―and Knox and Paxtyn will soon realize that the demons they hold within themselves are as far troubling as the ones they are fighting against…

Ok hoping this goes thru lol. So I am anxious to read both novels, when they come out. I was wondering how you came up with the watcher/seeker concept in Deadly Whisper?

I am excited to read your books. I am currently reading The Dream-Hunter by Sherrilyn Kenyon, last week I read Lover Mine by J.R. Ward, and The hour glass door by Lisa Magnum. So I think the whole concept of wathcers and seekers is very interesting how did you come up with that?

Hi Betony,

The idea for this novel came up when I was working on another. It was so consuming that I had to put the aside to work on it. I wrote this book in two weeks, which surprised even me.

As with every novel, I never plan it out. So, truthfully at the beginning, it all started just with two characters. I wanted to have a woman who had the ability to see past deaths and I wanted best friend to be a man. Thus came, Paxtyn and Tate - they have a quirky relationship that is as close as any brother and sister.

From there, was the development and the Seekers and Watchers. And honestly, the whole concept hadn't come together until chapter three - which meant lots of re-writes later :)

But this novel was so fun. A lot of humor, danger, action and hot steamy romance!!

So Stacey, what are some of your favorite paranormal romance books that you have read?

I LOVE Katie MacAlister's Dragon Series. Her humor, action is all right up my alley. Jeannie Frost, Night Huntress series is another one I never miss.

I lean more toward books that are told from the woman's perspective. Right now, I'm about to start Dakota Cassidy's Accidental series, which I'm super pumped to read.

Also, I rarely ever read single titles. I'm a lover of series!!!

Hey Stacey,
I'm working my way through Monday's and today's authors for June Jubilee days. I missed yesterday because I had an appointment with an eye specialist because my new eye doctor was concerned with my right eye because I had previous laser to the right eye. I am so glad I went because I had to have emergency laser surgery to the left eye because it had three holes and was in danger of a retinal detachment, which was emotionally scary and then I also deal with depression and panic attacks and was so close to a panic attack so after having two sandwiches for dinner I went to bed at 4:30 pm and just had the hubs wake me up at certain intervals to check blood sugars and take my medicines. So hopefully the eye and blindness scare is over and surgery was a success but it takes a week before they can check to see if it did properly or not. I felt like someone had poked a fork in my eye to see if I was done like you would a slab of steak.

I only read the first in the series, got distracted by other books - I will definitely get back into them. She's a wonderful author!!!

Yes I totally agree with you on reading series I love them it's addicting and I love reading about the same characters and seeing what happens. I just hate waiting the 6+ months for the next one lmao but I do it anyway. It's rare that I read singles but I do on occassion.

I also like reading books where the woman is the heroine, I read a trilogy about 6 months ago or so I can't remember the author at the moment but it was a great read an I loved that the woman was the heroine of the story. I have heard of the Accidental series I am checking into that one as well.

Atleast now I can see my postings hahaha.

:helloooo: Stacey,
Paranormal is fav type of book, so I am adding your work to my TBR pile. The covers are great. I love that you write with a series in mind, since alot of stand alone books leave me wanting more.

Glad to know I'm not the only one!! Single titles leave me saying "Okay so what's next" But there never is a next...it's disappointing.

I'm lovin' the covers too - the artists did a spectacular job!!

Nice to meet you :)

Hi Stacey- Happy June Jubilee!

I love the cover to both of your upcoming books "The Willow" and "A Deadly Whisper". I also love the banner to your website. I read the blurb that you have for "Bless The Beauty" on the site- looks like a very interesting book series.
