Has anyone written or read a romance where the heroine has the same first name as the author?

Would this be considered a Mary Sue?

I don't think I have read a novel where the character had the same name as the author. Nor have I written one, although it's been tempting, because I like my name! I've never heard of a "Mary Sue."

Why do you ask? Do you want to use your name in a story?

A Mary Sue is where the author puts herself into her story, so that she inevitably becomes the heroine and gets the hunky hero for herself. Lawsy, ain't no way I would put myself in one of my stories, although I've put friends of mine in them. :giggle: But I was wondering how others felt about it.

I haven't heard of a Mary Sue either. But I think the concept might confuse the reader.

Well, I learned something new about Mary Sue. I have read some autobiographies not so well disguised as fiction.
