I just had to offer up "I, Vampire" by Mike Romkey as a wonderful vamp read for those who like the paranormal genre. This book is unique to me in that it's told in first person in the man's p.o.v. It is definitely a love story, but it's also a great tale about how a man becomes a vampire, what his role in this new life is, and all the other people (some that will shock you!) who are also vamps. It's intricate, has lots of plot twists, and really pulls you right along into a world of intrigue. I was totally fascinated by this book when I first read it, and in a lot of ways, I enjoyed it more than some of Anne Rice's works (please don't toss rotten fruit at me!).
